within ten minutes this little mint tin –
Was transformed into this crochet marker tin –
Lidls (lower budget supermarket) were selling sheets of washi paper, which usually comes in tape form. It is self adhesive so was like decoupatch but without the glue. I won’t lie, it was fiddly to work with, curling in on itself and then ripping as I tried to untangle it. But the paper wasn’t expensive and I just played around with it. It reminded me of covering school books with clear sticky plastic- my favourite job at the start of the school year after sewing on name tapes into uniform!
A pleasing result – it looks like patchwork.
As the paper is quite thin I built up layers attempting to keep the prettiest papers for the upper layer.
I’m always looking for crochet markers. They are like very small plastic paper clips, and the ones I have are quite brittle so this tin is to keep them safe and close to hand for when they are required.
