Wild Atlantic Way crochet waves

We have just had a very special family holiday week in Co Donegal Ireland where the views are breathtaking, the beaches long and empty, and lots of crochet was done by me and my mum watching the colours change on the sea and the mountains.
How could you not be inspired by such views!

Our holiday rental home, the well appointed Derrycassan House was located on the Wild Atlantic Way, and everywhere along this scenic route were sign posts “www”.
One of our crochet holiday challenges was to learn new patterns, so inspired by this wave like sign I learnt chevron stitch.
I just made a wee sample but hope one day to tackle a cushion or even a blanket.
We used the Doring Kindersley crochet book which I have blogged about before. It’s so clear in its instructions and photos, makes it very easy.
